Bible Studies & Study Groups

A number of Bible studies will be offered during the year in addition to those listed below.
Please watch for details on subjects, dates, and times to be published in the Lamplighter and the bulletin.

Women of Kirkwood (WOK)

Our 2006-2007 Bible study guide is titled "In the Beginning; Perspectives on Genesis." In the Beginning examines familiar stories from the book of Genesis from a fresh point of view. This study also calls attention to parts of Genesis that are less familiar, characters who have been ignored, and voices that have been muted, if not outright silenced.
Genesis is filled with accounts of relationships, and so is this Bible study—relationships between women, between wives and husbands, between mothers and children. Just as each character in the book of Genesis brings a unique perspective to the story, it's understood that each person using this study brings an outlook, a context, and a history that is uniquely her own. In the Beginning celebrates this diversity and the gifts that come form varied and distinct points of view.

Our Monday night and Thursday morning circles will be using this guide. In addition, WOK sponsors a variety of mission and fellowship events throughout the year. We welcome all Women of Kirkwood (and their friends) to join us.
