This is what is happening in May

Status:

Yard Sale: It’s that time of Year again! Maybe you are looking for that unique teapot to complete your collection, or are hoping to share your slightly used treasures with others. Many families are looking for those great deals! The youth are sponsoring another Yard Sale, which will be held on May 15th from 7 am to 1pm. All proceeds from the Yard Sale will help fund two youth mission trips scheduled for this summer. Help us meet our goal! We will begin collecting donations May 10th – 14th, during office hours. Please place items on the marked tables where items will be sold, this will help us in sorting before the sale. (Please no Electronics)
Think you have nothing to give? We also need Paper sacks, plastic grocery bags, and hangers.
Volunteers Needed!
For the Yard Sale, We also need youth and Adult Volunteers to help the day before (May 14th from 5-9) and the day of (May 15th from 6 to 3– that includes set-up and clean-up). We also need people with trucks to help haul whatever is not sold to the dump or donation boxes. See Erin Bowman if you have questions. You can e-mail her at laine88@gmail.com.

Parents Fellowship: Saturday June 5th 6-8pm, Barb Hall is hosting a Parent's fellowship night for all parents of youth who will be in grades 6-12 in the Fall of 2010. At the fellowship night we will share a meal together (Please bring a side dish or dessert). At this meeting we will begin to plan next year and hear how we can better serve you and your family. This is also the day we will sign the new permission forms.

Summer Bible Study: You’ve heard of what would Jesus do, but have you ever thought ‘what would Jesus eat?’ This summer for the Bible Study we will be going beyond the pages of the Bible and reading between the lines to discern the foods of the ancients. Not only will we discover foods of the apostles but we will also learn about the foods of Ruth, the Prodigal Son, and the feasts of royals like David and Ester. We will probably abstain from John the Baptist’s favorite, locusts and honey, but we will discover what it means to "entertain angels unaware!" We will not meet every Wednesday this year as we have in years past due to the busy summer schedule. Please RSVP this month to the Wednesdays you can come and we will set-up the schedule once we have heard from most people. We will include at least one large feast (which will be chosen based on the day when most people will be in town). We will also meet earlier in the evening so we have enough time to prepare and eat our biblical foods, which will serve as your dinner for that evening. Please e-mail RSVP for the Summer Bible Study “What would Jesus eat?” Below are the dates listed for the Summer Bible Study, please RSVP this month for the Bible Studies you plan to be a part of: July 7, 14, 21 and August 4, 11, 18 – 6 to 8:00 pm
