Fellowship

Fellowship CommitteeKirkwood Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Committee creates and sponsors activities for church members, their guests and church visitors designed to complement each individual’s faith journey. Structured social events are offered weekly and monthly to appeal to all age groups.

Fellowship hour directly follows Sunday morning worship each week. Members and visitors gather in Fellowship Hall to enjoy coffee, lemonade and light snacks. Visitors are greeted informally, warmly welcomed, and are able to converse face-to-face with a number of members each week. Members enjoy this social time to meet visitors as well as strengthen their own established friendships within the congregation. Monthly activities vary greatly. KPC has a vibrant Fantasy Football fellowship, which meets frequently during the football season. Numerous potluck dinners throughout the year feature themes such as an annual talent show, a re-cap of summer mission trips, or a silent auction to raise funds for missions. Our late fall/early winter gathering draws crowds for a turkey and ham potluck dinner and Christmas carol sing-a-long. Other events include an annual picnic, an outing to the Potomac Nationals baseball game in Woodbridge, an excursion to an area dinner/theatre, and a fiercely competitive late-winter annual chili-cook-off.
