Mission

It is recorded (Mark 16:15) that Jesus commanded his eleven remaining disciples (and thereby us who believe) to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.” John records (John 21:15-19) that Jesus commanded Peter three times to care for His sheep, and to follow Him.

The task of the Mission Committee is to take the word of God to other people and to conduct His work in the community. We offer opportunities for participants of all ages to volunteer their time both in long-term, on-going projects and individual, one-time outreach efforts. A variety of projects are available including tutoring children, visiting with members of our community, repairing housing and other construction projects, preparing meals for those in need, collecting school and household supplies, and supporting our military through gifts from home.
