Youth Ministry

Jr. Highs

Our Jr. High youth fellowship meets each Sunday from 3:30-4:30. Our goal in Jr. High youth group is to establish the need for fun Christian fellowship. In the hour-long meeting, we play games and discuss our week, which includes preteen problems and joys. The group decided this year to use TalkSheets for Jr. Highers as our discussion starters at meetings. Jr. High Youth group takes a couple of retreats each year, a summer mission trip, and many more fun events like lock-ins and help plan Youth Sunday. Join the Jr. Highers any time to experience what real Jr. High fun is all about!

Sr. Highers

In Sr. High Youth group (nicknamed Fusion), we dive into the hard conversations of teenage life and throw in some fun and laughter on top of it, as well as snacks! Our Sr. High fellowship meets each Sunday from 5:30 to 7. In the weekly meeting, we play games, fellowship, share devotions (led by the youth usually) and discuss our week. Each month the group chooses a new topic to discuss. Last year’s topics include: Music, Communication, Relationships, Devotional Tools, and Money Matters, each Month building on the last. Fusion Youth group takes a couple of retreats each year, a summer mission trip, a Ski Trip, a camping trip and many summer fun outings. Connect to Fusion any time to experience how to live a fun Christian teen life! This is not your average Youth Group!

Youth Mission

Both groups are very active in missions in the community and across the nation. We have listened to God’s call to do mission and traveled in His name to help people in New York, Maine, West Virginia, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and even in our own back yard of Virginia. We have participated in the Crop walk and the Souper Bowl of Caring. Adult Volunteers: We are always looking for more people who can be a positive influence in the lives of youth who would like to volunteer to chaperone, lead, or drive youth at events or at weekly meetings. Volunteers can participate as often as they like, either weekly or yearly.
