The 2021-22 season is returning to the sanctuary of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church for four concerts of talented musicians, eager to present music, once again, to an audience instead of just a video camera!

An incredible program starts off the season on October 9, 2021 at 3pm. “The King of Instruments & The instrument of Kings” performed by trumpeter, Chuck Siepp and organist Randall Sheets. It is guaranteed to bring chills, smiles and excitement as they play an amazing variety of classical selections, modern popular tunes and ending with spine tingling patriotic arrangements. The Siepp/Sheets Duo is a perfect way to celebrate music and welcome us all back.

December 18, 2021, 3pm, marks the return of the unique vocal quartet, Classical FX. You will be entertained with songs featuring quartets, duets and solos in a program filled entirely with Holiday cheer. Denise Gulley, soprano, Terri Malone, mezzo soprano, Tim Augustin, tenor, Matthew Joe Minor, bass-baritone and collaborative pianist Susan Ricci Rogel always bring familiar melodies, new compositions and maximum joy. It is perfect music to celebrate this special season.

The Vitali Quartet welcomes in the second half of the season with a spring performance on March 26, 2022 at 3pm. Featuring members: Enrique Reynosa, violín, David Pedraza, viola, Alan Saucedo, cello and Anna Nizhegorodsteva, piano, this quartet of young, emerging artists exemplify exceptional quality and professionalism. We are so excited to have them on our series after their performance in 2020 had to be cancelled because of Covid quarantine mandates.

Our season’s final concert takes us back in time with the period instrument chamber group, Charm City Baroque. Michael De Sapio on violin and John Armato playing lute, and baroque guitar offer a variety of music including compositions from Uccellini, Weiss/Bach and early American folk music. Join us on May 7, 2022, 3pm, for beautiful melodies and to experience musical history and heritage.

We are so grateful for you, the patrons that have enabled us to continue to offer this concert series performed in our own community, in a lovely acoustic space with our Steinway piano and Allen organ used so brilliantly. These concerts are free to the public, but can only continue with financial support from committed patrons and new guests who are moved to donate in celebration of their concert experience! Please invite friends and neighbors to become a part of the audience!

Finally, the Concerts from Kirkwood series will be following health & safety protocols for all concerts just as we do for in person worship, which, at this time, requires you to wear a mask while inside the building.
