Concerts from Kirkwood is proud to announce our 2018 – 2019 concert season, thanks to the generosity of our patrons and audiences. This year’s lineup features performers on a global stage as well as local artists in a mix of styles and genres that we’re sure you’ll enjoy. We hope you’ll mark your calendars and join us for what we are sure will be a season of scintillating performances.
On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 3:00 PM we will open the season with a concert featuring the A&R Duo in a four-hands piano concert. Steinway Pianists Arianna Korting and Robin Giesbrecht met at the Juilliard School as prodigious individual artists, but soon found themselves performing together to rousing ovations, in concert halls in Europe to East Asia and throughout the United States. They will bring their virtuosity to Kirkwood performing in a four hands format on Kirkwood’s excellent Steinway piano in a concert you will not want to miss.
We will get Christmas week off to a rousing start on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 3:00 PM as vocal quartet Classical FX returns as one of our Christmas favorites with a new and festive holiday program for the whole family. What better way to start the week than with a scintillating family program with some of our favorite artists?
International artists return to the Kirkwood stage on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 3:00 PM, as Portuguese cello/piano duo Fernando and Luis Costa present a concert of exceptional music. The twins’ career as a duo has led them to perform broadly internationally to the plaudits of critics and audiences alike. Join us as the Costa twins continue their recital tour of the United States with a special concert from Kirkwood.
The season will complete on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Trio Omnia, featuring panist Anna Nizhegorodseva, violinist Enrique Reynosa, and cellist Dorothea Racz. This classical piano trio will finish the season in style with classical chamber music sure to delight everyone.
